an easy to use program that computes gain/difference score statistical significance and confidence intervals for individual patient/case scores, using both classical and binomial model error estimates. The program is useful where you are interested in looking at whether training, some kind of intervention, or just time passing (!), is reflected in the scores on a test/scale on two occasions - taking into account the unreliability of measurement of a particular test/scale. As such, it is of use for clinicians, but also perhaps trainers and occupational psychologists. The program is sized for SVGA (800x600) screens, 32-bit (written in Delphi-4) and requires Windows 95/NT. The zip file of the self-installation fileset is 1.4Mb in size (conveniently, it will just fit on one single floppy). This file decompresses on installation into a subdirectory that takes up about 5.5Mb of disc space. The reason for the large installation subdirectory is the Windows format help file. This is a graphic + text + equation file that takes you through each procedure and screen area - with references! So, if you want to use this program, download the file Truescore.zip here. Unzip the program using say WINZIP, and run the SETUP.EXE file from within Winzip (which will use a temporary directory to unzip everything). The program will default to installation subdirectory C:\Truescore, but can be installed anywhere convenient.
